The Foundation "Tatiana Pérez de Guzmán el Bueno" organizes a serie of three (virtual) conferences about to the music of Tomás Luis de Victoriy. Specifically, the three scheduled conferences will focus on (1) "Lamentationes a Ieremiae Prophetae. Tomás Luis de Victoria. From theological root to the musical vision in a contemporary view" (April 3); (2) Officium Defunctorum, Tomás Luis De Victoria. Visions of death and life. Hope as proclaimed" (April 6), and (3)" Officium Hebdomadae Sanctae, Tomás Luis de Victoria and other motets. A walk through the believing Europe "(April 8). All of them will be carried out by Carlos José Martínez Fernández, PhD in Musicology (by the University of Oviedo) and licenciate in Conducting by Royal School of Music. He is also president of the Fundación Pondera, and also president of the Torner Society, and director of the Capilla Antiqua, La Volubile, and Victoria Cantus groups.
Attendance is free, and all the conferences will begin at 18:30. However, those intereseted must be registered through the ZOOM platform to receive an invitation that will allow attend the conferences.
