The Granada Ancient Music Festival, will be dedicated to the King Alfonso X the Wise and the commemoration of his VIII Centenary. To achieve this, the festival will be focused on medieval Hispanic music but not only since it will be complemented with different activities and concerts about Armenian music. The festival program includes up to seven monographic concerts (we can highlight those of the Capella de Ministrers, Egeria, Piacere del Traversi, or Forma Anticua), a musical contest for kids, an instrumental (duduk) learning course, three different historical lectures related to Alfonso X and an "extension area" that complements all that has been said with interventions related to women in Spanish medieval music (both Christian and Sephardic). Among this, the program include a monographic concert of Armenian ancient music, and another two which explore the Andalusian musica and the relation between music and the King. The tickets, priced at 5 euros, respect all the anti-covid indications and protocols promoting a safe cultural experience.
